PaRtY aNiMaL!

Ry went to his first birthday party last weekend for his cousin Kaylee! He really didn't get to play much but he just looked so cute in the hat, I had to post it!

Sitting Up!

So I know this is back-tracking a bit, but it is something I wanted to post a while ago and forgot. I just wanted to show the pictures from the first time Ry sat up on his own because I happened to get the picture! It was over a month ago (when he was about 5 months old).
And..the first time he fell over!

6 Month Pictures!

Cute as ever..if you ask me! But I am biased I guess. He was so good, I could have bought all 30 poses, but I had to cut it down to like 10. ;)

6 Month Update

Last week Ryan had his 6 month check up, here are his stats...

~17 lbs...25th-50th percentile
~28.5 in...97th percentile
~His head is in the 90th percentile

So basically, he is like a lolly pop! Long, skinny body with a big top ;)

The Dr. said he could stand to gain a couple of pounds given his length but because he is only starting to eat food, it should happen on its own. I have been feeding him everyday but he is still not too interested. I think I came up with a winning combo last night though...rice cereal mixed with squash..he ate the whole serving!

He is just so active lately, he NEVER stops moving and squirming! We got him one of those jumper things and he goes crazy in it! He rolls and wiggles all over the place. Gone are the days of being able to put him down on the floor and walk away for a bit. We are still in the process of baby proofing. John built this box to hold all of the fish tank chords so that's a start! We need to get rid of the glass coffee tables and lock all of the cabinets. Watch out, Ryan's on the loose!

Happy Half Birthday Angel!

My baby is 6 months old today! I can't believe that..

Where did 6 months go?

The most amazing, wonderful experience I have ever had, has been the last 6 months of knowing and loving this most perfect little soul. I could have never imagined loving someone so much with all of my heart. All I have to do is look at his precious face and every little thing that ails me, melts away. I have said it here before and I will say it again...we are so blessed to have such a wonderful little guy for a son. God has really rewarded us.

You little one are mommy's heart
I knew it right from the start
the way you hold my finger tight,
when we're alone late at night.
When I cradle you in my arms
you smile and show all your charms.
Then you drift off to sleep
sometimes I can’t help but weep,
how lucky I have become
to actually be the chosen one.
To have and hold a child like you
now life seems to good to be true.
